1. The service and these terms
These terms describe permitted use and the limits of Concrete Calculator at concrete-calculator.me. 'We' and 'us' refer to the website operator; 'you' refers to the person using it. Read these terms alongside the Privacy policy and the assumptions displayed with each calculation. If you do not agree with these terms, do not use the service.
The current tool is free and requires no account. It does not sell concrete, place orders, collect payments, offer subscriptions or establish a contractor-client or engineer-client relationship. There are no current purchase, cancellation or refund procedures because this website does not conduct sales. Any future paid service would need separately disclosed prices and applicable transaction terms.
2. Who may use the tool
You may use the calculator for your own personal or business estimating work and share its generated estimates with colleagues, customers or suppliers. If you act for an organization, you must have authority to do so. Users who cannot legally agree to these terms independently should use the service under the supervision of a parent, guardian or other authorized adult.
You remain responsible for the information you enter and for having permission to share information belonging to another person. There is no need to include personal identifiers to calculate material volume.
3. What the calculator estimates
The tool applies the stated geometry to your dimensions, converts units, multiplies by quantity, combines areas and adds the selected reserve once. It estimates finished concrete volume, whole bags using the selected yield, and optional material costs from prices you supply. Results depend on valid inputs and the supported shape definitions.
Supported modes are uniform rectangular slabs or footings, solid rectangular walls, solid round columns or pads, hollow cylinders, solid stairs filled down to ground, and ramps with a linear thickness change. A project name does not change the underlying geometry. Irregular sections, overlapping areas, holes, embedded objects and separate foundations are not automatically detected or deducted.
4. Shape and purchasing assumptions
Stair volume includes the top tread and assumes every step is filled to the ground; a separate landing must be added separately. It is not the formula for a suspended stair or a thin slab over fill. Ramp length is horizontal and end thicknesses are vertical. A cylinder uses full diameters, not radii. A post inside a hole is not automatically subtracted from a solid-cylinder estimate.
The 3D preview illustrates one piece using entered dimensions. It is not a survey, construction drawing, reinforcement model or fabrication specification. Quantity and reserve affect the numerical estimate rather than creating a complete site model. Visibility, graphics support and extreme proportions can limit the preview.
Bag counts round up to whole bags using combined required volume and the chosen yield. Preset yields refer to the named product and may differ from other products of the same weight. Bulk purchasing increments apply only when entered and do not change the bag calculation. Currency selection labels prices; it does not convert exchange rates.
5. Check the estimate before relying on it
Measure the actual work and check each unit, thickness, diameter, count and area boundary. Avoid overlapping areas. Review the formula and numerical breakdown, and confirm bag yield, supplier order increments and the condition of the site before buying materials. The default example and reserve are starting settings, not recommendations for every project.
Displayed results may be rounded while calculations retain more precision. A rounded display can differ slightly from a calculation made using only the displayed numbers. Actual material requirements can vary because of excavation, uneven ground, forms, compaction, spillage, settlement and delivered yield. Discuss an appropriate allowance with the people responsible for the work.
Save the inputs, units, reserve and product assumptions alongside an exported estimate. If a result appears implausible or conflicts with a supplier's guidance, pause the purchasing decision, check the inputs and report the discrepancy. A calculation error report is not an emergency support channel.
6. Construction and professional-advice disclaimer
The website provides quantity planning information, not structural engineering, architectural, geotechnical, building-code or site-safety advice. It does not determine load capacity, reinforcement, footing design, required strength, safe thickness, curing procedures, mix water, exposure suitability, permits or compliance with local regulations.
Use appropriate qualified professionals for design and safety decisions, and follow applicable codes and current manufacturer instructions. An accurate geometric volume alone does not establish that a structure or construction method is safe. Explanatory articles and worked examples carry the same limitations as the calculator.
7. Prices, products and third-party references
Cost estimates use the values you enter. They are not live market prices, binding quotations, invoices or offers to supply goods. Unless expressly included in a displayed calculation, costs do not include delivery, labor, pumping, reinforcement, preparation, taxes, minimum-order or short-load charges.
Manufacturer names and reference links identify sources or calculation inputs; they do not imply sponsorship, approval or affiliation. Product specifications and third-party pages may change. Verify the current data sheet and terms directly with the supplier. We are not a party to purchases or contracts you enter into with third parties.
8. Projects, exports and feedback
You keep any rights you have in your own inputs. You may use and share generated estimates for your projects, including commercial work, without paying us or adding attribution. Permission to use an output is not a certification of its accuracy or fitness for construction. Do not present an edited report as an unmodified output or claim that we approved your design.
Sharing a project creates a readable URL containing its data, not a private account or revocable access grant. Links have no automatic expiry. Exported files and prints are your responsibility to store, distribute and delete. The Privacy policy explains the consequences in more detail.
You may send suggestions voluntarily. We may use the substance of a suggestion to improve the tool without an obligation to implement it, credit it or pay for it. This does not transfer ownership of unrelated materials or give us permission to publish your personal details. Do not submit another person's confidential material or an idea subject to an obligation we have not agreed to.
9. Acceptable use and intellectual property
Do not use the service unlawfully, impersonate its operator, distribute malicious links, attempt unauthorized access, bypass security controls, or deliberately disrupt availability. Automated requests must not interfere with other users or evade access restrictions. Ordinary linking, lawful citation and legitimate search-engine indexing are not prohibited by these terms.
Except for your own inputs, third-party materials and rights granted by applicable licenses, the site's original text, design, branding and software remain with their respective rights holders. Permission to use the calculator does not grant ownership of its logo or permission to repackage the entire website as your own. Mathematical facts and formulas are not made proprietary by these terms. Statutory exceptions and applicable open-source licenses remain unaffected.
10. Availability, changes and errors
We aim to provide a useful tool but do not promise uninterrupted availability, compatibility with every browser, permanent storage of projects, or an error-free service. Maintenance, technical failures or changes to supported features may affect access. Keep an independent copy of information you need.
We may correct errors or change the service, and may restrict abusive activity where reasonably necessary. We do not promise that saved links will work indefinitely across future versions. A correction may change a result produced from the same inputs; independently review estimates used for an actual purchase or construction decision.
11. Warranties and responsibility for losses
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the free service and its informational outputs are provided as available without additional warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted operation. This does not remove any warranty, duty of care or other protection that the law does not allow us to exclude.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits or business interruption, arising from use of or inability to use the service. Responsibility for other losses is determined under applicable law, including its rules on causation, reasonable foreseeability and any duties we owe you. We do not impose a blanket zero-liability rule merely because the tool is free.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence where exclusion is prohibited, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Your non-waivable consumer rights remain intact.
12. Questions, disputes and applicable rights
Contact us with the relevant page, inputs, result and explanation if you have a complaint. We welcome an opportunity to understand and resolve it. Doing so is not a condition that prevents you from exercising a statutory remedy or contacting a regulator.
These terms do not require private arbitration, waive class or collective rights, or select a foreign court. Applicable law and the court with jurisdiction are determined by the rules that apply to the dispute. Mandatory protections available to consumers in their place of residence are not displaced by these terms.
If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law. Not immediately enforcing a provision does not waive a legal right. No provision gives us permission to override mandatory law.
13. Updates and contact
The revision date appears at the top of this page. We may update these terms to reflect service changes or legal requirements, and will give additional notice or request agreement when the law requires it. Updates are not intended to retroactively remove accrued rights or authorize a new use of personal information without the required notice or consent.
For feedback, corrections, privacy matters or questions about these terms, use the contact address below. Include only the information needed to understand your request.
